The impact of software bugs
Computer software these days is plagued by bugs.
It is commonly known and somehow accepted that computer software these days is plagued by bugs, going from graphical glitches, broken features, performance issues to even software crashes.
The impact of these software bugs is in many cases not severe and non-life-threatening. In the case of a video game, at worst, you can lose your game progress or lose some money if you bought some crowns, diamonds, and other virtual currencies or merchandise.
In some industries, however, software bugs are causing major disasters. In 1998, the Mars Climate Orbiter disintegrated in space due to an incorrect mix of metric and English units. The price of this software bug: $125 million.
Critical software errors are happening every day in aeroplanes and hospitals with sometimes lethal consequences.
Why software bugs are not fixed
The reality behind software fixing is more complex than most people think. Several variables come into play when a company decides to fix
Software fixing is more complex
than the initial development

Mixing #Agile with #Waterfall ? Think of it as a cake with the chocolatey structure of Waterfall and the creamy flexibility of Agile. The cherry on the cake is the best of both worlds, and this is how you can win at #software #development and #project #management.
The debate between Agile and Waterfall is not a zero-sum game. Each methodology has its merits and drawbacks, and the choice between the two is often dictated by the specific requirements and constraints of a project or program. However, for projects that demand both structure and flexibility, a hybrid approach can offer a balanced solution.
In practice, it is not about choosing between Waterfall and Agile; it’s about knowing when to use each. Structure and flexibility are complementary and not mutually exclusive. So, the next time someone tries to sell you on the “one true methodology”, remember: the most innovative solutions often come from combining the best of multiple worlds. It’s not about only waterfall or agile, but a lot of other methodologies, too.
